Lost Inside

Haunting lyrics touching the heart
Floating on silver moonbeam trails
In silence the voice inside cries
Misting treasures of things
We should have said
Things we should have did
Things that died deep within
Emotions bottled up inside
Deep within the broken heart.

Moon dressed dark velvet skies
Sun faded into the midnight oil
Songs played forever etched
to a solemn broken soul
Visions danced like in a dream
My arms reach out to the shadows
Now only haunted by darken skies
Light that has left my eyes
Shrouded memories of days gone by.

gosh, your poems are going between romantic and happy and then melancholy or sad like this one. I would say at least for poetry, the new year HAS been rather good for you, my friend.

A moving write dear poet, and when I visit your writes, I am always pleased.....yet this one stumbles me a bit, it's as if you are ready for the cerecloth ! Put a little spark in your next write....can't you remember the last time that you got caught in the rain, and it tickled you every where ! *smiles* Don't get me wrong my friend...this free verse is beautiful, I'm just missing the Spring, and when it gets here, I'm going to burst with write ! Much love Phyllis, james
