Lost In Woods To Find the Light

Lost In Woods To Find The Light As night fell, I was engulfed in tragic darkness, Around me was but the black black void, I was held captive, Ripped off my free will, Robbed of my identity, I was trapped in the woods, Woods so dull dark and deep, Not a single form of life to be seen, Joy was kept at bay, Hope was in deep deep sleep, And their I wallowed in despair, In the cold, barren and dismal woods, Nothing was everywhere, Matters not if you look left or right, 'Cause there was no sign of light, The malice of haunted woods, Continued in an endless loop, But just as I had given it all up, Just as I felt it was the end, Out came the majestic sun, And brought with it the shine of light, Air of life and wilderness of might, I was saved from the cells of the dark, Set free and safe, But to this day I still wonder, Had I given it all up, Would I still be here?
