Lost In the Moment
Lost in the moment, so perfect, complete;
gazing adoringly, flush with the thrill.
Waltzing, she stands on her daddy's two feet,
all else on pause now, just time standing still.
Gazing adoringly, flush with the thrill.
He is her hero; his armor shines bright.
All else on pause now, just time standing still.
Staves off the heaviness, holds back the night.
He is her hero; his armor shines bright.
Gone are the shadows, abandons all care.
Staves off the heaviness, holds back the night,
darkness receding as he rocks her there.
Gone are the shadows, abandons all care;
With perfect small hands, she clings to his coat.
Darkness receding as he rocks her there,
holding her gently, a lump in his throat.
With perfect small hands, she clings to his coat;
waltzing, she stands on her daddy's two feet.
Holding her gently, a lump in his throat,
lost in the moment, so perfect, complete.
