Lost In The Learning.
For so long just pretending
I somehow knew the score.
Those days are long behind me
I'm not pretending anymore.
So if I leave you in the morning
and there's still a fire burning.
Baby please forgive me
I got lost in the learning.
Hurt so many times before
the things that I went through.
Lovers lies once told to me
and love that was untrue.
Doing all the things I did,
the things I felt I must.
Left somewhere so far behind
I'm just learning how to trust.
It's been a long and lonely road,
this road I chose to travel.
The rise and falls from broken hearts
and dreams I watched unravel.
Like learning just to walk again
and step out from my sorrow.
All I really need to know,
will you be here tomorrow?
Don't think that I don't see or hear,
I know the tears you're crying.
If you look inside of me
you'll see how hard I'm trying.
Meeting in the middle
of loves passion and the yearning.
Baby please forgive me
