Lost In the Dark

captivated in my own mind
Guarded by sorrow
Searching for happiness 
But,
Have yet to find
Everything seems so hollow. 

All of my thoughts black
A prison built by my dreadful dark past,
Lost in the dark,
I can't find my way back,
Realizing that good times never last!!!

Endless pain and suffering,
Have broken me down!
I'm lost in the dark,
Tired of surviving,
Tired of fighting,
Wondering what my future brings,

I'm frozen in the dark 
Wanting so badely to break free!!!
Please, please, please,
Will someone save me.

I'm lost in the dark,
I can't seem to break free,
Of my pain and suffering.

Steve Tomlin Date: 8/22/2016 1:51:00 AM Good poem.sad subject. I have felt lost not long ago. Work, friends, family, intimacy and so forth changed and i realised i was lonely. Then it didnt matter when i met new people because i was still feeling loss with my existing friends and family, because they were still in my life but the interaction was strained, like living with the same partner in an unhappy relationship over and over.
