Lost In My Eyes
I push you from my mind
So you haunt me in my dreams
Dreams you hold me in
Console me from whatever ails me
And dry tears cover my cheeks
Only for you to rub them
And I turn away knowing this pain I feel you only trigger
And I am so confused
I don’t know if I’m supposed to take comfort in you again
Only so you could fire poison on me
Rob me from every happy moment I could’ve had
And I want to reach out
But this heart it aches
It whispers the memories we could have had forever
If you’re going then go
But don't you ever come back
Don’t you ruin this only sanctuary I have
For you are lost in my eyes
But never in my heart.
