Lost In Grief

Lost in Grief

As is sit here waiting
I know not what to do
News of your health diminishing
I wish I was there for you

Family gathering
I'm so far away
Praying for strength
This is what i say...

"Dear Lord, heal the sick
Give my family peace
Put your healing hands on them
Help them to be ready
We are never ready to let go
Much less to say goodbye
How can this happen to us?
How can we let him die?
Please help us to see the obvious
That we must let him go
Dear Lord, please don't abandon us
In this time of sorrow"

I sit here waiting
Full of grief
Not knowing what will happen
When I hear the phone ring

I pray what ever happens
If the Lord decides to take him home
That he leaves peacefully without pain
And that he gives us the peace we need to accept it and let him go

** this poem is for my cousin who is fighting for his life, and for myself and my family, because we are hurting and we arent ready to say goodbye. :(

Liya, this is a beautiful prayer/poem for your cousin. I pray that God will heal your cousin and that He will surround you and your family with His comfort and peace and that He will give you strength for this difficult time. Love, Kim

Thank You ma'am, sadly my cousin took his last breath 3days later. But he is in paradise now along side our other lost loved ones and God. He is in a better place now.
