Notes About The Poem

Lost In Art

There are many things that make me happy in life,
but a day when I can go to the art gallery is the best;
I walk the many rooms totally lost and delighted with the art,
from room to room I view, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque;
how, I love the religious paintings, the gothic, and the mythical painting.

I adore art for it is like a beautiful story painted,
then I rest, have a bit of lunch, and after I begin again;
oh, the 19th Century, 20th Century, and a visit to Impressionism,
a peek at Abstract and Modern Art, and all the sculptors along the way;
and the amazing Canadian artists, always so very interesting and so colorful.

I linger with the Aboriginal Art and the Inuit Art,
for this art touches my heart the most and I dwell with it;
I take another rest at a lovely, tranquil water court and garden,
and in the very heart of the gallery there is a reconstructed church;
oh, there is a whole story about how it got there, but I am blissful tired now.

Hi Constance, I can see the total bliss you feel as you walk through dreams and stories from the minds of others. The skill and creativity always touches the soul. I also love visiting art galleries, The creativity always amazes me. I enjoyed so much the walk through your gallery, the images you painted were strong. May you ever find joy in the creativity of others. All the best for Contest Constance. Reads like a winner to me. a wonderful Monday. Hugs....Mike. XX

Dear Heart, here is another thing we have in common in addition to working out and loving cats and being alone. YOU LOVE MUSEUMS. I found when I was in my study group in Madrid, hardly anyone liked looking at paintings. It made me annoyed. I had to go fast through all the rooms due to the impatience of the 21 other students. I wish I had had more time in the Louvre. Fortunately I spent my study abroad right in Madrid and could visit Prado alone.it was a few blocks from my residencia! Love this.

I enjoy art galleries also. I am not able to do much of that walking and standing anymore but it would be nice to go once again to see some of the most talented artist. I do go every year to the fair where they have amateur and professional art works on exhibit. Such awesome talents out there. Your entry reads like a good contender for he likes art. Sara
