Lost In a Moment Between Now and Then

`
Lost in a moment between now and then gazing ahead at the moon Calling your number again and again maybe I wondered too soon Balanced alone on the edge of a shelf clinging to what I believe Looking at no one except at myself something I’ve yet to conceive Destiny answers the memories shown dreams I have placed on the sill Dance in the shadows of times I have known somehow it seems that they will For here I sit on a couch in the dark thinking if only you knew Closing my eyes as my thoughts do embark how much I am missing you Every handle on every door spins as if time has a place Locking the feeling of love evermore broken this heart that I trace Now all I have are these echoes I send tapering off down the hall Lost in a moment between now and then silent in spite of it all

Great writing Chris, your phrase about echoes in the hall remind me of Jim Cuddy's song pull me through, I'm sure you would like him his style actually reminds me of your work, although he's very country, I know you're in Texas but not sure if you have country leanings, any way, he's the lead singer of Blue Rodeo a cool Canadian country band, one of my faves!

That's really cool. I like a bit of country but I am more a rock and roll guy. I do really like what they call down here Texas music. It is an edgier kind of country that is really good. Check out The Mike McClure Band if you get a chance. They are one of my faves.

you are so amazing. Not only do you use fantastic imagery but you have perfect rhyme and meter. You did the theme perfectly. To my mind, romance or lost love sprang up immediately!
