Lost Hearts

The mind is a tricky thing, It loves to remember what it had It's afraid to mourn what it’s lost. The heart is a tricky thing, It loves to hold on to what it has, It is afraid to let go of what’s remained broken or departed. It’s within the heart and mind that becomes as Yin and Yang, Two beats as one. But, with a disruption Rippling through they both become. Mixed signals are given, Emotions soar with unclarity. That once it’s backed against the wall, One breath is to remind it all. The heart beats for one but has room for many more. The heart cannot choose who it loves or loved. The mind thinks for one but has room for so much more, It’s within the mind that a breath must be taken, For the heart grieves on what was lost The mind knows the aspect of what was truly lost, That though one chapter has ended, there is still more to begin.
