Lost Friend

Lives going in different directions
Once close, now only closure
Silence instead of laughter
Trust broken forever

Forsaken, forgotten
Reconciliation rejected
Ill will, resentment
Empathy now apathy
Nothing left to say
Death of friendship

And isn't it a sad situation. My biggest problem is outliving all of my friends. Congratulations Jack. I see your name in the winner list very often. Love, Joyce

Congrats on your win in my contest! Good descriptions of what happens between friends. I really love "once close, now only closure" and your ending was spot on :)

Deep emotions portrayed in this acrostic, Jack...stepping stones in life...that's what I teach my children regarding all relationships, even the bad ones...best of luck in the contest...try a space after the first letter of each row for a stronger effect..ps..not on here much these days..moving to a different home...luv,gwendolen
