Lost Faith

overwhelmed by fear
captured by hate
my life slowly decreased
pulling further and further
away from family
faith burned
love disintegrated
soul crashed...
believed in hell more than
heaven itself
trying to rekindle
the passion you
had for GOD!
baby steps each day
its all you need
heart slowly restores
the love and faith
you once held
your past no longer
a living nightmare
but now a distant memory
faith rebuilt
love restored
life reborn

Nice setniments. I have found similar feelings in myself in regard to my Jewish faith. The past cannot be erased but I believe it can be forgotten. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Love that line "Believed in hell more than heaven itself". That made the poem for me!
