Lost Days of May
I so enjoy the days of May.
Why is God taking some away?
This day has come from February.
It's cold and wet and truly dreary.
We'd suffered through cruel winter's blast,
Were celebrating spring at last.
The weatherman says all this week,
Will be this bitter cold and bleak.
I guess there's something to the rumor,
God truly has a sense of humor,
But being God he will repay
For everything he takes away.
Although these days are dark and grim,
I will not speak my mind to him,
Because I know he will remember
To add some sun in cold December.
