Notes About The Poem

I dedicate this song to my two cousins lost to suicide, and to John, this is the closest I get to forgiving you.
Lost Boys, Lost No More, lyrics
If eyesight could pierce the solar bright
And humans traveled at the speed of light
To be present at the yesteryear's glow
Seeing all colors of the rainbow
Reaching and touching the right wave
In this Elysian, to behold your babe
Physically adorn, the child is born
Hearing the spring of this precious being
This star of love: singing, beaming, blossoming
Dear little star, so bright, so far
A wonder lost, a guiding spark
Through boundless night, where shadows part
Dear little star, thou art my heart
Rising high, where dreams reside
By heaven’s grace, in you abide
Dear little star, no fear, no scar
In the arms of the Eternal, thou art supernal
Dear little one, far above, dear little sun
Exemplar in the Eternal Empyrean.
Pursuing the blaze, beholding those first days,
A blessing expressing—choosing, climbing, crawling pure
Dear little star, not long ago,
A sunbeam delight in innocent halo.
Then, in a blink, time evaporates dry
Unforeseen storm: erosion of fear, lights torn awry.
Once upon a time, the babe in grave laid,
Candlelight close, a twinkling star remade.
From echo to angel in the cosmos’ grace,
If eyesight could see like the starlight’s face.
Dear little star, so bright, so far
A wonder lost, a guiding spark
Through boundless night, where shadows part
Dear little star, thou art my heart
Rising high, where dreams reside
By heaven’s grace, in you abide
Dear little star, no fear, no scar
In the arms of the Eternal, thou art supernal
Once upon a time, through the rain and storm,
The eternal shine has proclaimed
My little rainbows, lost no more.
There are no shadows, there are no thorns;
By heaven's ablaze, your colors are reformed.
Oh, little lights, forever adorned...
Dear little one, dear little sun
The light will pardon, for the light has won
For the night must end
Alas, the twilight will come
Oh, little star, thou wilt ascend
Because of the Eternal Sun
Dear little star, so bright, so far
A wonder lost, a guiding spark
Through boundless night, where shadows part
Dear little star, thou art my heart
Rising high, where dreams reside
By heaven’s grace, in you abide
Dear little star, no fear, no scar
In the arms of the Eternal, thou art supernal
God proclaims
There are no shadows...
Lost no more, my little rainbows are lost no more.
Lost no more...
There are no shadows... lost no more.
My little rainbows... lost no more...
