Lost At Sea
I float in an ocean of worries
bobbing along
where
I
feel as if I am
weighted down by the weight of the world
my burdens
have been anchored
to my feet
as i
slowly fall to the bottom of the ocean
worries that have taken
over my thoughts
and are
drowning the life from me
How is it that one can find peace
Or direction
I watch
blue bubbles
float to the surface
in the moonlight they glow
and yet
my heart is with them as they drift lithlessly
My maps are rendered useless
as I've crumpled them into corners due to the destruction
of my ceaceless
shaking hands
The compass
has ceased to guide me
I am
a
lonely traveller
lost at sea
Only god watches down
on me
The ship moans
and it rocks
the weathered sails are blowing
and as my blue sky horrizon turns
a scarlett red
I fear for what is ahead
For the
storm
raging in my head
is doomed
to run off course
blindly searching for shores that offer saftey
but
only finding
shallow shores with rocky edges
At the stern
the waves crack
and crash over me
I spit out words
of my own self hatred
they salty
Holding on
to my life preserve
through the night
Hugging tight
I've sailed through
clouds
of past regret
but
now
This girl has finally found
her legs
at sea
