Lost at sea

The waves of life
 Waves of strife
Casting me about
My voice tries to shout
Get me out
Fighting to stay above
And not lose the love
Hard to do
And be true
Trouble on the sea
Trying hard to see
Which way to go
You never know
Wave after wave
Leading to an early grave
Tossed around
 life becomes a roaring sound
Our hearts become unbound
No map to lead the way
So many shades of gray
On my knees
Hear my pleas
Light my way
Come in and stay
Give me the strength to stay afloat
Fulfill the thirst in my throat
Take away the visions that haunt
Tell me what is it you want
Allow my ears to hear
To rise above my fear
Became my light
Cleared my sight
Passed me a rope
Cause you gave me hope
When I feel I am at my end
My knees I bend
Your ear you lend
Lost at sea
Gave me sight to see
Placed my feet on Solid ground
My heart came unbound
You helped me to see
Who I am meant to be
And that set me free

I read with hopes for freedom, which thankfully came at the end. The sea can mean so many things to people. Thank you for this one.
