Lost At Sea

When dreams fade away
The heart is lost
To the sea of cold permanence

As cresting waves
Carry, but to no destination

The eternal sea
That allows the misery of the heart
Must end, breaking on the rocks

Allowing the dreams
To hopefully make land and survive

This sailor likes the analogy, but prefers a softer landing than the waves. Nicely written. Vince
