Lost and Lonely a Message To My Souper Friends

Last year was a hard year with
alot of bumps in the road.I have
             missed all my souper friends.
             Last April my father,uncle,were
             diagnosed with cancer.They are
brothers and they found out on
the same day.I didn't take it well
and got mad and punched a steel
beam.I have paid for it ever since.
My father lost his fight and passed
away July 30,11.I had to have 3
surgeries in august on my hand.It
got a staph infection and was in the
hospital for 2 weeks and a nursing
facility for 48 days on IV antibiotics.
After my dad passed I felt like my
life was no longer worth living.
Now I feel I should end my life.
The date I have chosen is near. I
hope you all do well on your poetry
writing. There are a few people on this
site, you know who you are,I want to
thank you for everything you have
             done to help.
Now I am lost and lonely and ready
for peace.I hope my poetry legend
             will live on.

Hi Colleen. Yes I saw this sad poem and commented on it before when you told me you had posted it. A well written piece describing all that has happened and the grief and confusion that can result. You are a dear friend of ours and we have seen that you have a talent for writing all kinds of things on differing subjects. Keep writing and remember to look at the good side and write about that also. that is every bit as real and you can do a great job of it. Nature poems maybe? God bless you, love

I have found life a never ending struggle of physical, financial, and emotional trials... Still I reach out to others... There is always something or some one needing my help or blessings... The Lord will take us away when it is our time... While here, there are so many others like us who we need to reach out to... then help. I'm broke yet have taken in the home less, a child of abuse, and animals neglected and tortured... We are needed here. Stay with us... as long as you can. Sooo many need us... if only for a while.

Dear Colleen, I'm new to the soup so I don't know you, but my heart goes out to you. Please reconsider your plan. Life is a gift. It's sad when you lose a loved one, but your life needn't end. It's okay to grieve and be sad, but don't let it take over your life. Is there any other family member or friend you can talk to? Maybe a counselor or pastor? Taking your life will only cause your loved ones more pain. Do you really want to do that?

There is always something to hold on to, no matter how small. Find it and don't let go. Remember there are people who need you! You don't want them to feel the way you do now.
