lost and heartbroken

Lost in the labyrinth of my mind,
Bound by despair, with no respite to find.
My heart's chained to this life of strife,
Though all around me, family tries,
To break through my resistance and unite.
But I push them away, despite their plight,
Fear of rejection gnaws at my heart.
Dad's faith in me seems distant and apart,
Sister struggles to comprehend my pain,
Trapped in repetition, my story unfolds,
The same mistakes, the same role.
Mom tries her best, but I stumble and fall,
Yet I persist in this cycle cold.

I would like to offer my poem Linus Pauling as a reading and also the poem of my favorite poem Ogden Nash A Tale Of the Thirteenths Floor. All teenagers with rare exceptions go through this hormonal time of the age. We can only hope you ain't the Jabez Dawes. Parting from parents is necessary step for becoming ready to become a human being which you only become after 35 yeats old. You battle the path to independence. It's shameful for the young man to be such emo.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
