Lost and Found

that life was not meant for me
where happiness is constant
and smiles are common place
the only thing I have ever known
is the cold the breezes through
the gentle warmth always elude me
laughter is but a stranger
and sometimes it's chased away by anger
the double edged sword seems to only cut me
no matter how hard I swing it at someone else
the pulse that pounds in my veins
is but only temporary
so it would seem that at some point in time
something special would be mine
a place of peace a group of friends
my hidden treasure finally found
and yet here I am yet again bound
waiting here alone in lost and found
