Lost and Found

With a heavy heart and an open mind,
I am wandering through a city that once was mine.
While I rediscover memories that got lost in my mind,
a familiar stranger passes me by.
Now I am finding comfort in the words that leave his lips,
realizing that home is not simply a place that exists.
And that is when it hit me all at once,
forever is not quite long enough for what is yet to come.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
