Lost
Days of old have whispered goodbye
An echo, of things used to be
Judged for the choices we've made
In the courts of history
Tested by time, we've came up short
In the balances of right and wrong
Life out of order, twisted, deformed
Distant of where we belong
Driven by fame, blinded by greed
The path less traveled we've lost
Choosing to wander aimlessly
Without ever counting the cost
Void of emotion, we seek satisfaction
Leaving our conscience behind
Cursed by our wrong decisions
We search with a reprobate mind
We've lost our direction with no sure path
Like the darkness envelopes the night
We follow our leaders without asking why
Like the blind betrayed by his sight
Our children inherit the mistakes we've made
They're destined to repeat our past
We're heading for sudden destruction
How much longer can it really last?
