Loss Promises

Promises are to deceive
Their promised with pride
But fall from our schedule
Causing many to leave

At the time all is swell
Excitement sprouts
and brightens the day
But then were forced to dwell

To follow is more doubt
Once they haven't pulled through
Your hope gives up care
Trust is what starts the drought

That person is now loss
Since they tricked your mind
It happens to everyone at least once
And it's the thing we can walk across
