Loss of Love Was Never the Issue

Memories we made have started to f a d e, as the weeping willow reaches for a tissue- I craved your thirst and you wish I’d stay, the loss of my love was never the issue. All trust had died the second you lied, as my bleeding heart can’t forgive you- Your lust inside upset this smooth ocean tide, this loss of devotion can’t continue. A masquerade you played and now I hide- "Oh weeping willow, lend me your tissue." Rhyme Scheme: A-B-A-B C-B-C-B-C-B CONTEST 201 Sponsor: Brian Strand Date Written: September 13, 2016
