"You left footprints on my heart that can never be erased." - Unknown **************************************************************** Loss of a Pearl In the dim SHADOW of moonlight She MUTTERS her wrath in sorrow As she looks for her rare JEWEL Called up to the GATE of heaven In the very prime of his youth: Who can restore such a jewel! Who can console such a mother!

Extremely poignant! The death of a child is an unforgiving experience for mom. It will immerse her in profound grief. Elegantly composed with the prompt phrases employed ingeniously. Congratulations on your top win placement, dear Krishnanand.

Thank you a lot dear poet for your inspiring remarks and your kind wishes. I try to write with simple words without being pedestrian by attempting to place myself in the shoes of the subject- something i picked up from youthful days.....Wishing you plenty of light.
