Loss

She thought they were
in love forever
her was her love
her life, her everything

But she knew that he was
drifting away from her
and as she tightened her grip
on their love,

All it did was disappear faster
slipping through her fingers
and when it all had left her
she cried and she died

Because he was
the only thing
that ever kept her
alive
