Losing You

Losing You

I never knew the depth of pain
That would come from losing you
Or how terrible my life would become
Loving you made dreams come true

You gave me such hope
Of a beautiful life together
Your smile shining so bright
Promising your love forever

I love you forever and always
You said those words to me
But now you have gone away
Forever and always just a memory

How can I live now day to day?
With no word from you my dear
The words I lived by each day
Have been replaced by lonely tears

Will I get over you and live?
I don’t have that answer now
I have to get through today
And maybe tomorrow somehow.

Sounds like a loss that is recent. The pain of those left behind is well described here.
