Losing You

I’ve tried so hard to tell myself that you’re gone But every cell in my body refuses to go on. People tried to tell me you’re where you belong. They don’t understand your existence is what kept me strong. It was six years ago to this day. That your eyes could no longer see me play, and your ears could no longer hear what I had to say The day you left, my world turned grey. You held my hand through all of these years. The day you left me I drowned in my tears I’m screaming inside but no one else hears. My heart is damaged beyond repairs. When I dream about you I can feel my heart break. When I think about you I begin to quake. The day I lost you was the day I lost all oxygen intake.
