Losing Sight

There was a time when I could not remember your face,
When all hope was lost,
And the emptiness became dominant.
Now is a time,
Where I can no longer see you,
Hear you,
Or feel you.
I would give anything in the world to hear you speak.
Even if it's only in a dream.
But I cannot even be granted a dream,
A bit of my imagination,
A memory animated in the peace and quiet of the sleeping world.
