Loris Is Slow But Do Not Pity Him

Loris is slow
but no one messes with or teases him.
His elbows are poisonous
And he has the most vicious teeth
Which he is not afraid of breaking
on your skin.

Loris is offered the luxury of
moving at his own pace, 
understanding that he will be
left alone, and gladly
travels past many who fear him,
loving his power.
Holding them 
at bay with
mere fear.

Niyna Desangre June 10, 2019 at 2:11 PM This is the most scary first "free verse" I've read! Loris is to be respected for sure. I wonder if everyone clearly notices his dangerousness. He carries it so well. hmmmmm... reminds me of someone I know in a way. I am new to poetry and I had no idea of its' many forms until I joined the soup. A memorable first impression for sure!
