Lord save us from ourselves
We have books upon our shelves
There's only one that speaks of you
Please let us learn it through and through.
Lord we have lost our way
The world grows more wicked day by day
Let us in you abide
May we stay by your side.
Lord time for us is real
Please hear our appeal
Lord help make us whole
Let us let you fulfill your holy role.
Lord we need you now;
In your presence we humbly bow
As in the darkness we grope
You are our only hope!
