"For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth
cometh knowledge and understanding."
Proverbs, Chapter 2:6
Since I was a little girl I have been talking to God,
for he has great wisdom as he created the world;
he is my very best friend- I know that sounds odd,
because of his knowledge my little girl soul whirled.
For the Lord giveth wisdom, the proverbs proclaim;
so, Lord, my God I carry your torch and your flame.
Each morning, I confide and ask for help with life;
out of his mouth cometh knowledge to end my strife.
Now, as an adult I still call the Lord my friend,
he forgives all my faults for my penance is true;
sometimes, he laughs at the flaws I think of to send,
he understands and I am stuck to him like glue.
For out of his mouth cometh his understanding;
his reply sent with love and never demanding.
When, I am afraid I ask him to hold my hand;
and I know that my destiny- the Lord has planned.
