Lord, Let Me Be Your Instrument
I once was a sinner;
But now I'm saved by Your grace
And my desire is to please You-
For in You lies my total strength.
Lord, let me be Your Instrument.
I know I have fallen short of Your glory
Through thoughts, words.and deeds
But cleanse me daily, deep within
From every unrighteous act of sin
And with Your Spirit
Lead me Lord-
Let me be Your Instrument.
When troubles come and I'm about to fall
Help me to listen and hear Your call
To higher heights and deeper depths
With purer thoughts to spiritual wealth
To a mark of a higher calling in You.
Use me Lord, to do Your will
Let Your Love be the permanent seal'
To bind me forever to the cause
To stand for the Truth
No matter the cost
That my life might be an example
Of a Christlike life, filled with Your strength
Lord, Let me be Your Instrument.
When others fail, and from You, turn their face
Because of disbelief of Your grace
Their eyes being blinded in discontent
Give to me that "more -than-conquerors strength
Take my hand; let me stand
Boldly in Your Word and not to flinch.
