Lord Jesus Is My Cry

My soul cries out for something
Though it be not yet the time
In unexplainable angst I wait
For the Lord's timing is better than mine

I know His timing is what’s best
For anyone whose heart desires
All it takes for me to rest
Is standing on His promises

Dreams float through my head at night
Such vivid colors and smells
He gives to me a taste of what
Magnificence He's about to unveil

My heart sings out in awesome joy
With hands I lift on high
To magnify the King of kings
Lord, Jesus ... is my cry!
