Lord I Lift Her Up To You
I meant to be the one,
To prove what love could do.
To share my fatherly advice,
That would pull my daughter through.
I used to hold her in my arms,
And protect her from all harm.
Now Lord I come to you ,
Needing your direction.
Cause I can't be there to catch her when she falls.
These arms are strong enough,
But I can be there ,
To catch her when she falls.
I want to hold her close,
And say everything will be ok.
But those tears I can't wipe away.
Instead I'm not around, and the pain won't go away.
Oh Lord I seek your face,
Touch this broken place.
My daughter Need Your Love,
And your fatherly grace .
Cause I can't be there
To catch her when she falls.
These arms are strong enough,
But I can't be there
To catch her when she falls.
So Lord, I lift her up to you
There's some things
That his father can't do.
She has a void in her life,
That I just can't fill.
So hear me when I pray,
As I Lift her up to you.
Cause I can be there,
(These arms are strong enough)
No, I can't be there
To catch her when she falls...
