Lord God, You Are My Tear Wiper
May 12 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Job 16-19
Key Verse – Job 16:20 My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY TEAR WIPER
Lord God, You are my tear Wiper,
opening my eyes to behold Your glory
Thank You for orchestrating my will by Your strengthening victory
Surely offering to me assuaging refuge when I am weary
Likewise ordering me to rise up righteously, overcoming sins’ fury.
Lord God, You are my tear Wiper,
preparing my mouth to praise You unceasingly
Thank You for protecting my reins from self-pity continually
Surely purifying me against defiling foulness daily
Likewise purging me of my transgressions by Your blood powerfully.
Lord God, You are my tear Wiper,
quickening my commitment of genuine spirituality
Thank You for quelling my confusion by Your truth’s verity
Surely questioning me of my hypocrisy and checking my uncertainty
Likewise quieting me with Your purposes’ hope-filled bounty.
Lord God, You are my tear Wiper,
reviving my life by Your Word’s conviction-constancy
Thank You for removing my iniquities’ dross through Your holiness’ persistency
Surely refreshing me along Your counsel that reveals Your mercy
Likewise reinforcing me for discipleship’s fervency.
Lord God, You are my tear Wiper,
straightening my character midst trials so many
Thank You for scattering my light’s radiance by Your bright testimony
Surely showering me with Your blessings, whether stormy or rainy
Likewise safeguarding me against paths that are rocky and stony.
Lord God, You are my tear Wiper,
training my faith to withstand tests of philosophy
Thank You for teaching my mind Your wisdom not craving for earthly trophy
Surely touching me with Your forgiveness-care against sinful atrophy
Likewise tasking me as Your servant to declare Your biblical biography.
Lord God, You are my tear Wiper,
uniting my heart to Yours so I can be divinely healthy
Thank You for using my devotion toward You for me to be eternally wealthy
Surely urging me to depart from wickedness that can make me filthy
Likewise upholding me so I can fellowship with You, though I’m not worthy.
