LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY SPIRIT TRIER

December 17 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on 1John 4-5 Key Verse– 1John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY SPIRIT TRIER Lord God, You are my spirit’s Trier against false prophecy Thank You for protecting me from fleshly and lustful ecstasy… Always, I confess that You are my Christ of gracious mercy While relying on Your steadfast truth’s fervency. Lord God, You are my spirit’s Trier against alluring worldliness Thank You for guarding me from error by Your Scriptures’ trustworthiness… Always, I love You declaring that You are my salvation’s goodness While testifying about Your compassion of redeeming mightiness. Lord God, You are my spirit’s Trier against sinful choices Thank You for perfecting me by Your training processes… Always, I dwell in Your will that constantly blesses While appreciating Your miracle-moved performances. Lord God, You are my spirit’s Trier against condemning judgement Thank You for giving me life eternal away from hell’s torment… Always, I seek You in my faith nourishment While obeying Your wisdom-anchored commandment. Lord God, You are my spirit’s Trier against unbelieving culture Thank You for shielding me from compromises’ torture… Always, I trust Your victory toward triumphant posture While cleaving to Your empowering nurture. Lord God, You are my spirit’s Trier against disagreement-record Thank You for instilling in me Your principles based on Your Word… Always, I cling to Your granted divine sword While walking with You along righteousness-ford. Lord God, You are my spirit’s Trier against wrong desires Thank You for exhorting me to pray according to what Your heart requires… Always, I ask that You touch my soul with Your revival fires While living for You until my breath expires.
