LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY SOVEREIGN DELIVERER
Lord God, You are my Sovereign Deliverer against carnality’s fight
Thank You for protecting me from Satan’s pursuing might
Always enabling me in my prayer-plight
While forgiving every confessed sin-blight.
Lord God, You are my Sovereign Deliverer against worldliness’ sword
Thank You for guarding me from entangling backsliding cord
Always upholding me by Your encouraging Word
While teaching principles along Your truth-record.
Lord God, You are my Sovereign Deliverer against persecution’s pain
Thank You for defending me from trials’ strain
Always strengthening me toward faith’s increasing gain
While reinforcing encouraging grace that does reign.
Lord God, You are my Sovereign Deliverer against covenant’s breakage
Thank You for enclosing me from temptation-spoilage
Always freeing me toward joyful obedience-bondage
While cheering in stewardship pilgrimage.
Lord God, You are my Sovereign Deliverer against service-hypocrisy
Thank You correcting me from provocation’s irritating tendency
Always lifting me by Your mercy
While providing with Your satisfaction-sufficiency.
Lord God, You are my Sovereign Deliverer against towering haughtiness
Thank You for rebuking me from selfishness
Always checking my sincerity and earnestness
While commending good works because of Your righteousness.
Lord God, You are my Sovereign Deliverer against pressures’ engulfment
Thank You for comforting me toward spiritual fulfillment
Always illumining me with Your wisdom’s enlightenment
While leading toward great commission involvement.
