Lord God, You Are My Reproach Reprover

April 9 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 19-21 Key Verse –2Kings 19:4 It may be the LORD thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God; and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY REPROACH REPROVER Lord God, You are my reproach Reprover against threatening trouble Thank You for protecting me from fear’s rumble Through Your fighting armor, steadfastly stable With Your deliverance so able. Lord God, You are my reproach Reprover against deceiving perception Thank You for rescuing me from sin’s destruction Through Your defending testimony for my dedication With Your reign so supreme in Your wisdom-function. Lord God, You are my reproach Reprover against attacking sickness Thank You for answering me of my prayer zealousness Through Your beseeching motivation for my stewardship faithfulness With Your healing so complete toward my sin-forgiveness. Lord God, You are my reproach Reprover against boiling controversy Thank You for correcting me of my guilty hypocrisy Through Your presenting truth of persistency With Your assertion so precious in Your fervency. Lord God, You are my reproach Reprover against hoarding temporal treasures Thank You for reminding me Your promised hope that assures Through Your subduing peace midst alluring leisure of worldly pleasures With Your might so strong to uphold me in handling pressures. Lord God, You are my reproach Reprover against compromising blight Thank You for rearing me upon Your altar of worship delight Through Your building power along Scriptures’ light With Your dealings so right. Lord God, You are my reproach Reprover against stretching discontentment Thank You for sufficing me despite complaint’s disagreement Through Your abounding grace for ministry involvement With Your acts so loving in Your granted commitment.
