LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY PRIDE CONFOUNDER
Lord God, You are my pride Confounder
Who keeps me in Your protection
Thank You for saving me against transgressions’ corruption
As well as from wicked curses and deceit-causing dysfunction
For me to overcome iniquity’s affliction.
Lord God, You are my pride Confounder
Who props me through Your grace
Thank You for freeing me against suffocation of selfishness’ embrace
As well as from shameful imprisonment brought by fleshly race
For me to stay in Your perfectly designed plan, devoid of faulty trace.
Lord God, You are my pride Confounder
Who sanctifies me by Your righteousness
Thank You for guarding me against wallowing in derision’s filthiness
As well as from fatal blow of arrogance and loftiness
For me to repent, confessing to You my haughtiness.
Lord God, You are my pride Confounder
Who fences me around Your security
Thank You for driving me against running after vanity
As well as from humanistic counsel and intellectual fallibility
For me to seek always Your wisdom’s authority.
Lord God, You are my pride Confounder
Who preserves me in Your care
Thank You for shielding me against adversary’s persecuting stare
As well as from despicable foes and discouraging despair
For me to conquer fear while Your Gospel I share.
Lord God, You are my pride Confounder
Who forgives me along Your holiness-might
Thank You for purging me against devouring sin-blight
As well as from fruitlessness and dryness of carnality’s struggling plight
For me to humble myself before, instructed by Your truth-light.
Lord God, You are my pride Confounder
Who seals me with Your love’s settlement
Thank You for upholding me against oppressions of worldly allurement
As well as from tormenting anguish and vexation of sheer self-fulfillment
For me to serve You along faith’s empowerment.
