Lord God, You Are My Light
May 29 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Psalms 43-47
Key Verses – Psalm 43:3-4 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY LIGHT
Lord God, You are my Light
Who nourishes my soul with Your assurance of salvation
Thank You for radiating to me Your truth’s instruction
Never leaving me in transgression’s oppression…
Now, I praise You for Your pardon toward my sanctification.
Lord God, You are my Light
Who nurtures my spirit by Your love of divine savour
Thank You for brightening me with Your deliverance-fervour
Never driving me out from Your favour…
Now, I delight in You within partnership and fellowship’s sweet flavour.
Lord God, You are my Light
Who nestles my heart in Your covenant’s flame
Thank You for securing me inside Your guarding frame
Never covering me of confusion-shame…
Now, I cleave unto You for Your mercies I claim.
Lord God, You are my Light
Who negates my pride and arrogant ways
Thank You for humbling me with Your compassion’s embrace
Never rejecting me when I seek You in prayer for Your grace…
Now, I hearken unto You, obeying You all through the days.
Lord God, You are my Light
Who nurses my gloom by Your cheering sovereignty
Thank You for making me Your heir of eternal riches’ bounty
Never allowing me to depart from Your holiness-beauty…
Now, I exalt You for Your glorious majesty.
Lord God, You are my Light
Who necessitates my commitment to make me able
Thank You for empowering me so in the ministry, I can be capable
Never abandoning me in every trouble…
Now, I rejoice in You while protected in Your warm refuge, so dependable.
Lord God, You are my Light
Who navigates my motives by Your Word’s demand
Thank You for aiding me from blurred vision with Your healing hand
Never neglecting me to go astray from Your servanthood-command…
Now, I abide in You while upon Your precepts, I stand.
