Lord God, You Are My Law Giver
February 18 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Deuteronomy 1-4
Key Verse– Deuteronomy 1:5-6 On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying, The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY LAW GIVER
Lord God, You are my law Giver, dwelling in my heart
Thank You for guiding me in my journey right from the start
While setting me in Your plan to do my entrusted part
Bearing me midst burden, protecting me from evil dart.
Lord God, You are my law Giver, discerning my discouragement
Thank You for searching me out from my sinful predicament
While settling me within Your revival-fulfillment
Building me up in Your abode’s contentment.
Lord God, You are my law Giver, directing my way
Thank You for providing for me every day
While strengthening me by Your compassion as I pray
Bringing me to Your victorious success-ray.
Lord God, You are my law Giver, defeating my anguish
Thank You for conquering me and my fears You extinguish
While melting me of my hard-headedness when in pride I languish
Bracing me with Your deliverance my soul gratefully distinguish.
Lord God, You are my law Giver, defending my testimony’s righteousness
Thank You for correcting me of my stubbornness
While fencing me around Your sanctifying holiness
Bending me to bow down before Your majestic gloriousness.
Lord God, You are my law Giver, defying my ignorance and folly
Thank You for teaching me Your Word, perfect constantly
While enlightening me with Your truth faithfully
Blessing me to learn from Your principles I can apply wisely.
Lord God, You are my law Giver, dwelling my heart for joyous worship
Thank You for directing me toward Your sweet fellowship
While showing me Your wonders midst Your omnipotent kingship
Being with me by Your loving presence and caring friendship.
