LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY LABOUR OF LOVE'S INSPECTOR

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY LABOUR OF LOVE’S INSPECTOR
Lord God, You are my labour of love’s Inspector Who checks my sincerity
Thank You that I can trust Your salvation’s certainty
For my assurance of eternal security
And joy in Your Word’s stability.
Lord God, You are my labour of love’s Inspector Who is my perfect example
Thank You that I can depend on Your power since my faith You propel
For my strength in sharing Your Gospel
And deliverance from temptations’ ripple.
Lord God, You are my labour of love’s Inspector Who reproves my vain motive
Thank You that I can entreat Your help when I become proudly reactive
For my meekness to please You against carnality that’s assertive
And humility to submit to Your directive.
Lord God, You are my labour of love’s Inspector Who witnesses my behaviour
Thank You that I can lean on Your love’s transformation-endeavour
For my walk to be worthy in Your kingdom’s favour
And testimony that shows You’re my Lord and Saviour.
Lord God, You are my labour of love’s Inspector Who forgives my doubtfulness
Thank You that I can ask for Your pardon to cleanse my confessed sinfulness
For my victory against unrighteousness
And peace while engaging in Your holiness.
Lord God, You are my labour of love’s Inspector Who meets readily my need
Thank You that I can cling to Your grace with mercy indeed
For my contentment against covetousness and greed
And satisfaction despite distress of selfishness-breed.
Lord God, You are my labour of love’s Inspector Who fights my fear
Thank You that I can cleave to Your presence I hold so dear
For my comfort in my sorrowful tear
And delight in Your compassion, sweetly near.
