Lord God, You Are My Instructor
May 9 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Job 4-7
Key Verse – Job 4:3 Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY INSTRUCTOR
Lord God, You are my Instructor,
upholding me from falling
Thank You for touching my heart that’s fainting and troubling---
You’re my Confidence through Your hope’s sealing
While You anchor me in Your righteous dealing.
Lord God, You are my Instructor,
uplifting me by Your discernment
Thank You for purifying my faith in Your empowerment---
You’re my Foundation in my service-commitment
While You guide me in Your wisdom-fulfillment.
Lord God, You are my Instructor,
updating me with Your answer to my supplication
Thank You for guarding my soul from sin’s affliction---
You’re my Deliverer along Your assured redemption
While You hide me from the scourge of hell-destruction.
Lord God, You are my Instructor,
upstaging me from worldly worthlessness
Thank You for pulling my mind toward Your gracious peacefulness---
You’re my Sanctifier, cleansing me from filthiness with Your forgiveness
While You search me in Your truthfulness.
Lord God, You are my Instructor,
upsizing me against down-treading grief-calamity
Thank You for granting my request with Your certainty---
You’re my Strength Who is Almighty
While You help me with Your gracious sovereignty.
Lord God, You are my Instructor,
upbringing me from ignorant reasoning
Thank You for consuming my pride along humanistic winning---
You’re my Teacher, causing me to understand divine learning
While You turn me from perversion-leaning.
Lord God, You are my Instructor,
upsurging me toward heavenly desire
Thank You for clothing my personality with virtues You require---
You’re my Comforter midst anguish that doesn’t inspire
While You preserve me until I retire.
