LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GLADNESS’ SONG
Lord God, You are my gladness’ Song
along Your music of great kindness
Thank You for Your tunes of merriment and cheerfulness
With Your answers to my supplication’s steadfastness
For my comfort midst mourning’s bitterness.
Lord God, You are my gladness’ Song
along Your message of satiating satisfaction
Thank You for Your inspiration against frustration and lamentation
With Your instruction while confounding me by Your correction
For my holiness midst backsliding’s temptation.
Lord God, You are my gladness’ Song
along Your lyrics of replenishing blessing
Thank You for Your covenant that’s very soul-pleasing
With Your ordinances of standard-encompassing
For my wholeness midst causeless cursing.
Lord God, You are my gladness’ Song
along Your melody of ready deliverance
Thank You for Your sacrifice responsible for my redemption’s assurance
With Your blood’s payment, sealing my eternal insurance
For my transformation that manifests new-creation’s appearance.
Lord God, You are my gladness’ Song
along Your rhythm of life everlasting delight
Thank You for Your promises that are never late, always timely right
With Your evidences if Your faithfulness, clearly bright
For my peace midst joy abounding upon Your truth’s insight.
Lord God, You are my gladness’ Song
along Your tone of sanctifying authority
Thank You for Your forgiveness for my confessed iniquity
With Your freedom releasing me from captivity
For my victory midst staining worldliness’ infirmity.
Lord God, You are my gladness’ Song
along Your hymns of dominion-entitlement
Thank You for Your revival bringing ministry enjoyment
With Your compassion propelling my Gospel sharing involvement
For my triumph in my everyday engagement.
