Lord God, You Are My Giver of Mercy

Key Verse – Hosea 2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GIVER OF MERCY
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy through Your inspired Word
Thank You for saving my soul by the grace only You can afford
Along Your compassion that rescued me against hell’s eternal discord
Away from worldliness’ destruction and its fatal vanity sword.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy through Your response to my pleading
Thank You for cleansing my sins by Your forgiveness, always attending
Along Your love hedging me with Your upholding
Away from lewdness’ filthiness and its defiling ending.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy through Your mirth’s joyfulness
Thank You for bestowing my spirit with Your jewels of worthiness
Along Your light by Your comfort brings hopefulness
Away from deceit’s emptiness and its threat against faithfulness.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy through Your sacrifice
Thank You for satisfying my heart with Your blessings which suffice
Along Your truth that always edifies
Away from lying and its folly-price Your wisdom defies.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy through Your pardon for iniquity
Thank You for refining my virtues with Your holiness’ authority
Along Your Scriptures exposing Your supreme sovereignty
Away from backsliding and its worthless futility.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy through Your caring judgment
Thank You for rebuking my unbelief with my shallow commitment
Along Your reproof, correcting my discontentment
Away from pride and its downfall’s sentiment.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy through Your kindness-filled dealing
Thank You for sanctifying my personhood from vanity-spoiling
Along Your righteousness toward divine healing
Away from transgression-oppression and its terrible grueling.
