LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GIVER OF MERCY
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy…
… protecting me from famine and nothingness
Thank You for sending what I need through Your bountifulness
Surely dealing with my guilt-illness by Your aiding wellness---
Please let me live by faith in Your purposiveness.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy…
… providing me with fruits of Your best
Thank You for supplying me resources to the fullest
Surely multiplying my gifts with Your grants in their finest---
Please make me Your responsible steward of joyful zest.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy…
… presenting to me bread of welfare
Thank You for keeping me in good health by Your care
Surely cheering me up in Your gracious smiling stare---
Please set me to delight in Your fellowship as Your goodness I share.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy…
… preparing me to be filled with sacks of blessings
Thank You for overtaking my will with strength along life’s racings
Surely forbidding me to covet greedily that cause cursings---
Please discipline me toward goals of worthy enforcings.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy…
… propelling me to do what’s right with Your peace
Thank You for calling me to serve You, healing my laziness’ disease
Surely rescuing me out from the sorrows of futility-increase---
Please keep me prayerful so in clinging to You I won’t cease.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy…
… pressing me to come to Your presence
Thank You for driving me toward harvest labour’s excellence
Surely nourishing me against scarcity inside Your compassion’s fence---
Please secure me by Your nurturing credence.
Lord God, You are my Giver of mercy…
… preserving me within Your commandment
Thank You for warming me with Your holiness-raiment
Surely governing me over my discontentment---
Please revive me always by Your spiritual fulfillment.
