LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY CONTENTMENT NOURISHER Lord God, You are my contentment Nourisher by Your satisfying fulfillment Thank You for Your forgiveness’ settlement Against iniquity’s entanglement So that I won’t faint due to worldliness-caused ailment. Lord God, You are my contentment Nourisher by Your besieging presence Thank You for Your laws’ magnificence Against rebelliousness’ license So that I won’t forsake Your light’s fluorescence. Lord God, You are my contentment Nourisher by Your established teaching Thank You for Your doctrines’ enriching Against ignorance of doubt with deceitful stretching So that I won’t neglect truth-preaching. Lord God, You are my contentment Nourisher by Your exalted name Thank You for Your majesty’s frame Against idolatry’s game So that I won’t cease to claim Your promises’ flame. Lord God, You are my contentment Nourisher by Your prudent counsel Thank You for Your kingdom’s divine castle Against carnality’s wrestle So that I won’t behave apart from Your epistle. Lord God, You are my contentment Nourisher by Your effective healing Thank You for Your comfort’s care never failing Against wickedness’ smiting and guilt’s spoiling So that I won’t mourn lament due to pride-caused falling. Lord God, You are my contentment Nourisher by Your excellent gloriousness Thank You for Your sanctification’s holiness Against filthiness’ destructive oppressiveness So that I won’t flee from Your protecting righteousness.
