Lord God, You Are My Companion In My Walk
January 2 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 4-6
Key Verse – Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY COMPANION IN MY WALK
Lord God, You are my walk-Companion, guiding me toward the best
Thank You for keeping me in Your love’s nest for my soul’s rest…
Help me overcome every trial and test
By Your assurance of compassion to the fullest.
Lord God, You are my walk-Companion, lifting me up whenever I’m fallen
Thank You for accepting me with my confessed sins You’ve forgiven…
Help me listen to Your voice, cheering me against being heart-broken
By Your grace through prayer door You widely open.
Lord God, You are my walk-Companion, strengthening me through Your might
Thank You for rescuing me from sin-penalty’s fright…
Help me stay in Your will so as not to experience a vagabond’s flight
By Your care in guarding me inside Your fellowship’s delight.
Lord God, You are my walk-Companion, inviting me to dwell in Your presence
Thank You for building me up in Your divine essence…
Help me learn from Your instruction’s license
By Your Word that illumines with truth-iridescence.
Lord God, You are my walk-Companion, assisting me every day
Thank You for blessing me with Your provision’s tray…
Help me reflect Your image in my spiritual way
By Your light for my good Christian testimony’s bright ray.
Lord God, You are my walk-Companion, giving me genuine meaningfulness
Thank You for dealing well with me as I live in Your righteousness…
Help me abstain from wickedness and avoid evil imagination’s filthiness
By Your cleansing as I repent with grief and humbleness.
Lord God, You are my walk-Companion, protecting me from destruction
Thank You for leading me toward virtues of character-transformation…
Help me flee from fleshly lusts and worldly corruption
By Your commandment that warns against yielding to temptation.
