Loose Buttons

Holding on by a thin thread of hope,
we can only wish to be so strong.

Loose buttons,
love dangling by a thread.
a fine, frayed thread,
that has yet to see its mending.

Happiness isn’t for the half hearted.
We can only wish to be so strong.
